Jennifer Ridley Hanson, CFP^®, CDFA^®, serves as Director of Wealth Planning, Senior Wealth Advisor, and Partner at SlateStone Wealth. She oversees the firm’s wealth planning platform and process while leading the advisory team. She also serves as lead relationship manager for a select group of families and institutions.

With more than 25 years of experience as a financial advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Jennifer specializes in comprehensive wealth planning and multigenerational strategy. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, she also works alongside divorce attorneys and other professionals to help clients understand the long-term financial impact of proposed settlements, providing detailed analysis that supports informed decision-making during a complex process.

Before joining SlateStone, Jennifer spent eight years with a major private bank in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Director and Private Wealth Advisor, leading a client strategy team and advising individuals and families on growing, maintaining, and transferring wealth. She joined that institution through its merger with a regional bank, where she had spent the previous eight years as a Personal Trust Administrator.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer served as Director of Financial Planning for a financial education company, where she developed and delivered financial education programs for employees nationwide. She began her career in Chicago as a Personal Financial Advisor and Registered Representative.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University and received her Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning.  She remains active in professional and community organizations, serving as President of the Board of Trustees for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Chair of the Personal and Professional Development Committee for United Way of Dane County’s Women United, and serves as Treasurer for the TEMPO Madison Board of Directors.
